As with most weddings that took place during the pandemic, difficult decisions had to be made, and for Heather and Dillon that meant not one, not two, but three postponements. But unwilling to wait any longer, in a moment of spontaneity, they decided to elope in Banff. The couple ended up exchanging their vows amidst the breathtaking beauty of nature’s embrace.
But as the saying goes, the heart wants what the heart wants, and for Heather and Dillon, this meant celebrating their nuptials with their loved ones. And so, after three long years, their dreams of a grand wedding celebration came true at the splendid LaSalle Banquet Center, nestled in the heart of Burlington, Ontario.
The occasion was captured through the lens of the talented Alexandra Del Bello, who immortalized every precious moment. From the ethereal beauty of Heather’s gown, a creation designed by the renowned Pronovias, to the tender look in Dillon’s eyes as he beheld his beloved, each detail exuded an aura of timeless romance.
The wedding decor only amplified the romantic ambience, with vintage furniture and a soft symphony of florals in ivory, pink and blue blended with verdant foliage. Guests convened on the veranda, an idyllic setting for the reception, featuring long tables adorned with soft blue linens and dainty floral centrepieces. Overhead, cafe lights twinkled and danced, and a magnificent champagne wall added just the right amount of drama and opulence. And at the heart of it all was the sweetheart table where the newlyweds basked in the glow of their love.
It may have taken three long years for their dreams to materialize, but the end result surpassed all expectations. Heather and Dillon’s journey to “I do” was a testament to their love and resilience, reminding us that, amidst uncertainty, dreams can come true in the most breathtaking and dreamy ways.
